Why Choose a Ghillie Suit over Traditional Camouflage?

Ghillie Suits, like all camouflage come in a variety of colors, patterns, styles and sizes. The distinctive advantage that
the Ghillie offers is its ability to diffuse your profile. This is always important but especially so when you are
"backlit", when stalking your prey forces you to "skyline" yourself or cross a variety of cover types, or in limited cover
terrain. These advantages have made it the Snipers choice for decades.

Making the correct choice for your hunting style is also very important. While a full coverage Ghillie offers the
greatest coverage, it is not always the right choice. When hunting from a blind where only your torso is exposed
a Jacket is the best choice. If you are hunting in thick low growing cover, a Ghillie Poncho will give you greater
mobility and still offer the camouflage you need. If you are a Sniper, not just any suit will do, be sure to choose a
genuine Sniper Suit to provide more comfort and longevity..

Using your Ghillie Suit correctly is also important. Be aware of the available cover and blend into it however possible.
When in hunting in sparse cover like the sage brush spotted Badlands simply sitting in the open makes you appear
as just another piece of sage brush. Using the base of a large tree or rock is also a good way to breakup your profile,
standing next to anything will improve the effectiveness of your camouflage.
